RESTORING A VICTORIAN FARMHOUSE BRINGS NEW LIFE TO A GRAND LADY!

This old farmhouse has lasted a long time. When the new homeowners had to move suddenly, they wanted to find a design company that shared their love for old houses. They had originally bought the farmhouse to be their new family home, but the unexpected move put their plans in danger.

The homeowners hired LeavittHaas to help make their home more appealing for selling. We collaborated with the clients both in person and remotely to update our initial designs. After the homeowners approved the plans, we carefully restored the home to bring back its original charm, which had been lost over time. We used pictures of the home and incorporated its historic style throughout the restoration process.

We started by updating the basic systems of the home - the electrical, plumbing, and heating systems all had to be replaced and improved. LeavittHaas recreated the custom trim used throughout the home while designing specific crown molding and wall trim to highlight the historic nature of the home. We also installed a new kitchen with appropriate details and modern appliances. We incorporated antique tiles, mantels, doors, and staircase banisters, along with Victorian-era inspired lighting and plumbing fixtures to bring out the historic charm of the home. Lastly, we fixed the floors and chose a careful color palette to ensure that our restoration would preserve the home for many more years.

Today, this house is one of the finest renovated historic homes. It now serves as the first location for a law firm, where employees and clients are warmly welcomed. At the same time, the law firm assists clients in starting afresh and building a better future.
