I thought my project would be too limited for LeavittHaas, but Anthony made me feel like I was the most important client he ever had. Anthony and Rose's design was the second thing that sold me - it was miles above any other design I had received and beyond anything that I could imagine for a house with limited flexibility in floor plan. The first thing that sold me was Anthony's positive and enthusiastic attitude, which lasted throughout the entire project.

He was always very attentive to me and to the project from day one until we finished. Anthony always responded to my phone calls, and would drive up even on the weekend if there was any problem. I felt well taken care of.

I had been very firm about the budget, and could not afford overage. Except for a few small changes that I requested, we stayed within the budget.

The result is fantastic. My house has changed from a 1960's old-fashioned 3/2 ranch house (all broken up into small rooms) into an open, spacious family-friendly 4/3 mid-century modern that is perfect for entertaining friends and family. I love it.

If I had this to do over, I would do it again in a minute! LeavittHaas made me feel that the end result and my happiness with it was the most important priority. Anthony has a gift for design, decor, and efficient flow in a living space, in addition to being a competent builder.

LeavittHaas was fantastic to work with -- they took the time to sit with my husband and me several times before starting on the project to really understand what we like and to get to know us. Anthony & Rose were great listeners and really took our ideas to heart when they were creating the design, if we had any concerns they would redo the plans (even if it was several times) without complaints. If there was a minor detail or suggestion we did not absolutely love, they came back with at least 3 more suggestions to make sure we were truly happy. They came up with a great overall design for us and we were able to schedule a large project into smaller ones so that we were not completely put out. Anthony & Rose were never too busy to take our calls or return our calls promptly.

As the work started, they were on site daily to manage everything and check to make sure things were up to their standards. If they weren't, they would change them. Anthony & Rose completely transformed our very plain looking bedroom, closet, on-suite to a real beauty that is completely functional. They converted a small, dark closet into a hardworking, walk-in with shelving, drawers, and storage space to meet my needs (jewelry drawers, shoe cubbies, extra shelves at the top for storage).

We are more than thrilled with our finished space-- and feel just as excited today as we did the day the project ended. Anthony & Rose have vision to transform any space, but with practical means. They were a perfect match for us and we truly appreciate that they took the time to get to know us, listen to our needs and wants, and be flexible with any changes we wanted. Our happiness and satisfaction with the space was the most important thing to LeavittHaas throughout the entire process.

LeavittHaas has been instrumental in the guidance and restoration of the exterior of our 1890 Western Victorian.  From the mill work to the color choices, they have enhanced the vision we have had for years.  They are professional and have high standards for all involved in the project. We highly recommend his company for projects of any size. We will continue to work with them as we finish up the renovation of our house.  Thank you Anthony & all!!

Whittier01 - Color Consultation

I contracted with LeavittHaas in June 2011 to redo the kitchen and exterior of my home. I had been waiting for several years to find the right team to design my home and after seeing their quality and ideas on other projects, I contracted with them to make my home my dream space.

My kitchen was a dark space that felt small and unusable for many years. Through the use of 3D modeling, I was given multiple options and was able to walk through each of the proposed spaces prior to construction. This was invaluable as it allowed me to focus on what was important to me and to ensure that the style would fit with my historic home. As we began designing, Anthony and Rose proposed redoing my powder room, laundry and pantry areas to give me more storage and a better flow for entertaining. They both listened carefully to my priorities and the final design surpassed my expectations, but more importantly, solved problems in my home that had frustrated me for years.

My back porch was a space I had loved for years but again, I felt it needed to be updated so that I could entertain more often. The incorporation of historic and modern finishes brought out the majesty of my home while still allowing it to retain its historic character.

The construction phase was run efficiently and throughout the process more design ideas were implemented that considerably enhanced the starting design.

I could not be happier with the end result and many successful parties have taken place in my home - usually in the kitchen and on the back patio. It’s rare to find designers that listen carefully and are always re-assessing the design to ensure the end result will surpass my needs. I have referred friends to them and they’ve been very happy with their projects as well.

I am happy to recommend the work of LeavittHass, Anthony Leavitt and Rose Haas. They did a complete cosmetic design and renovation of the exterior of my home in Houston. They were very sensitive to the unique nature of the home and chose colors and design features that highlighted the Asian aspects of the building. They smoothly managed the entire project, doing or overseeing all the work such as design, demolition, construction, landscaping and hardscaping, including a new lawn, garden, sidewalk, and, the crowning glory, a Japanese garden with a goldfish pond, all of which resulted in a huge enhancement to the “curb appeal” of the home.

They also did “down-to-the-studs” renovation of a garden apartment, including rewiring, new plumbing, painting, selection and installation of appliances, all of which resulted in a modern, state of the art addition to the property and, again, a sizable increase in the value of the property.

They work closely with clients, being responsive to their design wishes and financial concerns.

I was especially impressed with their perfectionist attention to every aspect of the job down to the smallest detail, and their ability to suggest just the right possibilities whenever I felt uncertain or indecisive.
